A Beginner's Guide to ACW Wisconsin WaterCity WrestlingCon 2019, Part 6: The Dream Police vs. Delirium
ACW Wisconsin WaterCity WrestlingCon is just days away, and to get ACW Wisconsin newbies caught up on the backstory to the matches on the card, here’s Part 6 of our series to get you caught up. In this article, we take a look at the Tag Team match between the Dream Police and Delirium:
Not all friendships last forever. Some end on good terms while other implode. Some come to a close because life takes people in different directions, while others dissolve because they have become toxic. The Dream Police fall in the former category, and Delirium is teetering on being a part of being in the latter.
The Dream Police have a rich history in ACW Wisconsin. They are 3-time ACW Wisconsin Tag Team Champions, the combination of Don Gotti and Seth Gambino were one of the top tag teams for many years in the promotion. By 2018, the two of them decided to begin solo careers, and both of them found success both within and outside of ACW Wisconsin. Gambino is currently the ACW All-Star Scramble Trophy Holder (a title that is similar to WWE’s Money in the Bank briefcase, where he can challenge for a championship match at any time). Even though the two had separated, they still had respect for one another, and when members of Delirium attacked Gambino at the most recent ACW Wisconsin event, Gotti was there to help his friend. In the desire to teach Delirium a lesson, The Dream Police challenged them to a match at WaterCity WrestlingCon 2019, a match that they are marking as “One Last Ride”.
Things aren’t as rosy for the members of Delirium, however. One of the most dominating factions in ACW Wisconsin in 2018, the group has started to fracture after obtaining a series of losses in 2019. Blame and finger pointing has plagued them, and it will be interesting to see if they are able to come together to thwart The Dream Police or if their lack of stability will be their downfall.
Trust may end up being the deciding factor in who walks away victorious, and it will be interesting to see if the last chapter of The Dream Police’s historic partnership will end in victory or defeat.
